Chaa Chaa Ogino
I’m Chaa Chaa Ogino, a writer, speaker, and social entrepreneur dedicated to hikikomori reintegration and mental health advocacy for over 20 years. Based in Ueda, Nagano, I work closely with socially withdrawn youth and their families to bring hope, understanding, and sustainable change to those facing isolation, depression, and societal pressures.
In 2019, I founded Quietude to provide another route for assisting former Hikikomori, NEETs, and dropouts, working closely with local NPOs and other groups.
In 2025, I was appointed as a member of the Ueda City Board of Education for a four-year term (2025–2029). In this role, I contribute to creating inclusive education and community systems that support students who struggle to fit into conventional path.
